Family: Born November 22, 1937 at Rochester, MN. Moved to Carlsbad in 1963. Married to Robert S. Kearns, have three children, two grandchildren, and three poodles.

Schools: Graduated Rochester, MN High School 1955; St. Mary's School of Nursing, Rochester, MN 1962; University of Colorado, Denver CO with Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate 1986; NMSU - Las Cruces, NM with BSN 1987, UTEP-El Paso with MSN 1990.

Employment: St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN; Carlsbad Memorial Hospital, Carlsbad; State of NM Public Health Department, 1968-1998, as Public Health Nurse, Nurse Manager and retired as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Currently teach Medical Terminology part time at NMSU-C, and have a custom machine embroidery shop, Fancy Stitches.

Other activities: Member of Altrusa International of Carlsbad, Past Governor of 18 clubs in four states; Thomas Jefferson Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution currently as Treasurer; active in Presbyterian Church, having served as a Deacon and Elder, and currently in the choir. Have a motorhome and enjoy traveling and doing family genealogy.

RPENM: Member since 2000; Chapter 10 Chairperson since 2002. Appointed to state Board of Directors in 2004 to fill an unexpired term.
