Josephine Raczkowski was born in Ashley, Pa. on August 5, 1932. Her family moved to New Jersey and that is where she lived until the move to New Mexico in 1982. Josephine is a 1950 graduate of East Side High School in Newark, NJ and has taken courses at TVI and UNM.

She has been married to her husband Richard for 53 years and they have one daughter Lorraine who lives in New Mexico also. Josephine retired from Metropolitan Court in 1996 due to a disability. Since then she has been active in many disability groups and started an Amputee Support Group and also works as a volunteer at Healthsouth at a free amputee clinic. She is past President of RPENM Chapter 21 for two terms and a board member of AFSCME and Co-Chair of the Rio Rancho Senior Advisory Board.
